Rose, c'est Paris

Intriguée par les affiches dans le métro, je suis allée voir l'expo Rose, c'est Paris, de Bettina Rheims et Serge Bramly à la BnF. Je n'ai pas été déçu.
D'abord un film, très érotique, un hommage à Paris, pleine de références surréalistes et autres (j'ai pensé aux cinéastes Alfred Hitchcock et David Lynch, le chef d'œuvre "Laura" d'Otto Preminger mais aussi le clip "Strangelove" par Anton Corbijn pour les Depeche Mode). Après les photos, sublimes, reprenant les plans les plus forts.
Sortie de l'expo, je me sentais quand même un peu vide. Peut-être dû à la beauté très consensuelle des actrices — même les punkettes ressemblent à des tops. J'aurais souhaité quelque chose un peu moins attendu de temps en temps. Et la séquence avec Naomi Campbell et Azzedina Alaïa m'a carrément gonflée. Trop de mode, tue la mode, quoi.

Intrigued by the posters in the subway, I went to see the show Rose, c'est Paris, by Bettina Rheims and Serge Bramly at the Bibiliothèque National de France. I wasn't disappointed.
First of all a very erotic movie, a tribute to Paris, full of surrealist as well as other references (it made me think of film makers such as Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch, the movie "Laura" by Otto Preminger, but also the Anton Corbijn video "Strangelove" for the Depeche Mode). After that the photos, all fabulous, of the strongest scenes.
But once outside, I felt a little empty. Maybe because of the somehow stereotyped beauty of the actresses  — even the punk girls looked like top models. I would have appreciated something less expected from time to time. And the scene with Naomi Campbell and Azzedina Alaïa really bored me out. Too much fashion, kills the fashion.

Med nyfikenheten väckt av affischerna i tunnelbanan, begav jag mig för att se utställningen Rose, c'est Paris, av Bettina Rheims och Serge Bramly på Bibiliothèque National de France. Jag blev inte besviken.

Sedan fotografierna, fantastiska, med kärnpunkterna i de olika scenerna.
Men då jag kom ut, kände jag mig lite tom. Kanske beroende på skådespelerskornas väl standardmässiga skönhet — till och med punkbrudarna såg ut som toppmodeller. Jag skulle ha uppskattat något mindre förutsägbart då och då. Och scenen med Naomi Campbell och Azzedina Alaïa kändes riktigt ospännande. För mycket mode, tar kål på modet.
