Shoot photo improvisé/Improvised photo session/Improviserad modellfotografering

Sometimes carrying a camera makes you meet people in an unusual way. Like with Andrea, Stéphanie and Phany. They are all 17 years old, dream about being top models and had been searching for a photographer for some time. I, this particular evening, was looking for something or someone to portray. Our paths crossed at the Forum des halles. Here's the result.

Våra vägar korsades i Forum des halles.

Intrigued by the posters in the subway, I went to see the show Rose, c'est Paris, by Bettina Rheims and Serge Bramly at the Bibiliothèque National de France. I wasn't disappointed.
First of all a very erotic movie, a tribute to Paris, full of surrealist as well as other references (it made me think of film makers such as Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch, the movie "Laura" by Otto Preminger, but also the Anton Corbijn video "Strangelove" for the Depeche Mode). After that the photos, all fabulous, of the strongest scenes.
But once outside, I felt a little empty. Maybe because of the somehow stereotyped beauty of the actresses  — even the punk girls looked like top models. I would have appreciated something less expected from time to time. And the scene with Naomi Campbell and Azzedina Alaïa really bored me out. Too much fashion, kills the fashion.

This week, I've returned to take new photos at the Hôtel Arc Elysées. The photos of the rooms that you see above, was taken by me last year. This time, the job was to capture the reception and the breakfast room that has recently been renovated. A good job and a great challenge to take on work as a professionnal photographer.

Eoles first show/première exposition/första utställning

Until the middle of May, you can see the photos by Éole at the bar Pili Pili in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. It's the first exhibition by this adorable young man, known from Flickr for his european jumps and his wide angled architecture pics. The pick here is well done and the result is very colorful and urban.

Helter Skelter

Œuvres de/Works by/Verk av Joël Hubaut

If your looking for a very hip gallery and the crowd that comes with it, Mycroft is a good place to start. Not far off from the trendy rue Oberkampf, this small space regularly offers exhibitions that does not leave you indifferent.
Tuesday evening, I went to the opening of their new show, Helter Skelter, with mixed media work of artists Federico Solmi, Gwenaël Billaud and Joël Hubaut. A provocative view on pop culture in a very sex, drugs and rock'n'roll sort of way. Like the curators, Yann Perol and Gwenaël Billaud, put it : Three artists united around the notions of suberversion and black humour. Three universes that scorns the references connected to religion, war and death in a caustic embezzlement that demonstrates the absurdity of the world. Until April 10

T.o.m. 10 april

Karin in Hungary/Karin en Hongrie/Karin i Ungern

Yummi.hu

Once again, my view stats on Flickr get an enourmous peak. Maybe thanks to this article by an hongarian blogger? Yummi.hu

Yummi.hu
