Six people in one small room

The photo fanzine "Six people in one small room" was created by me and five other photographers, guided by the duo Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber of Boehm Kobayashi. It all happened during a workshop organized by PiY and LE BAL books, and this is how we made it.

Le fanzine photographique "Six people in one small room"(Six personnes dans une petite pièce) est la création de moi et cinq autres photographes, guidé par le duo Katja Stuke et Oliver Sieber de Boehm Kobayashi. Tout cela pendant un workshop organisé par PiY et LE BAL books et voilà comment ça s'est passé.

Fotofanzinet "Six people in one small room"(Sex personer i ett litet rum) gjordes av mig och fem andra fotografer, ledda av duon Katja Stuke och Oliver Sieber, som är Boehm Kobayashi. Allt detta under en workshop organiserad av PiY och LE BAL books, och så här gick det till.

The names of all the photographers was set in alphabetical order. Then we added the numbers to indicate the place of the images in the book. The background is matte gold, but since we didn't have much time to let it dry, the solid colour is printed in 50 per cent.
Les noms de tous les photographes est dans l'ordre alphabétique. Après on a rajouté les numéros pour indiquer la place des images dans le livre. Le fond est en or matte, mais comme on n'avait pas le temps de laisser sècher longtemps les feuilles, on a choisi d'imprimer l'aplat couleur à 50 pour cent.
Namnen på alla fotografer står i bokstavsordning. Sedan lade vi till numren för att visa i vilken ordning vars och ens bild kommer. Bakgrunden är i matt guld, men då vi inte hade mycket tid att låta det torka, är färgplattan tryckt i 50 procent.
  

For the editing, everyone selected ten-fifteen of our own photos and put them into a folder. Then each one chose two photographies from all the other participants. That made us come down to a reasonable selection of around 50 images from all of us, some photos haven been chosen by several people. Next step, we had to pick what to start with. Since the two major themes seemed to be portraits and architecture, this photo from Michela Palermo seemed like a logical choice.
Pour l'éditing, chaque personne a selectionné dix-quinze de nos photos et les ont mises dans un dossier. Après, chacun a choisi deux photographies de tous les autres participants. Cela nous a limité un nombre d'images raisonnable, environ 50 en totale, comme certaines photos ont été choisi par plusieurs personnes.  Prochaine étape, il fallait choisir avec quoi commencer. Comme les deux thèmes majeurs qui sortait était les portraits et l'architecture, cette photo prise par Michela Palermo nous paraissait un choix logique 
För att göra bildurvalet, fick alla ta fram tio-femton av sina egna foton och lägga dem i en mapp. Efter det skulle var och en plocka ut två bilder från varje fotograf. Detta gjorde att vi fick ner urvalet till ett hanterbart femtiotal, då några personer valt samma bilder. Nästa steg blev att bestämma vilken bild vi skulle börja med. Då porträtt och arkitektur stod ut som två genomgående teman, tycktes oss denna bild, tagen av Michela Palermo, som ett logiskt val.

Like in the surrealism game exquisite corpse, it was now time for Noel to chose. He picked this one, by Hannah Darabi.

Damien had some trouble to make up his mind. Finally this self portrait of mine was chosen. 

Damien avait du mal a trancher. Finalement le choix est tombé sur ce self de moi.
Damien had svårt att bestämma sig. Slutligen blev det det här självporträttet av mig.

 
I had even less choice, since now only Sandra Schmalz was left, and that we had decided to end the book with another "window". But I love this pic from her series Portrait with façade and was happy to chose it!
J'avais encore moins de choix, comme il ne restait que Sandra Schmalz, et comme on avait décidé de finir le livre par une autre photo de "fenêtre". Mais j'adore cet image de sa série Portrait with façade et j'étais très heureuse de la sélectionner !
Jag hade ännu mindre val, då det nu bara återstod Sandra Schmalz, och vi dessutom hade bestämt att avsluta boken med en annan "fönsterbild". Men jag älskar den här bilden från hennes serie Portrait with façade och var väldigt nöjd med att få välja den!
