Doing photography is mostly a lonely task, so exposing your work can be a way to meet people. Especially group shows and festivals are great for that reason. Yesterday, I returned to Le Havre to hang my part of the show at the ateliers ICI, part of the festival Are you experiencing?
I made so many fabulous encounters: Héléna, artist, and Dorian, architect, working at the gallery, who helped us out with hanging the exhibition. Alexis, film and photography student, exposing his series of "photo novelas" at the ICI. Laurent, professional photographer, who keeps doing photography as a passion, with a graphic, sometimes near abstract, approach to the industrial buildings in the Le Havre harbour. All these people, together with a fabulous sun, turning spring into summer all of a sudden, made this a very pleasant day.

Faire des photos, c'est souvent une mission solitaire, mais exposer peut être une manière de s'entourer et partager. Surtout les expos collectives et les festivals s'y rendent bien. Hier, je suis retournée au Havre pour accrocher ma partie de l'expo aux ateliers ICI, qui fait partie du parcours Are you experiencing?
Du coup, j'ai fait plusieurs rencontres merveilleux : Héléna, artiste, et Dorian, architecte, qui travaille tous les deux à la galerie, et qui nous ont donné un bon coup de main pour accrocher nos expos respectives. Alexis, étudiant en cinéma et photo, qui expose un roman-photo à ICI. Laurent, photographe professionnel, qui continue à faire des photos par passion, avec une approche graphique, presque abstrait, captivant les bâtiments industriels au port du Havre.
Tous ces gens, et un soleil merveilleux, qui a subitement transformé printemps en été, rendaient cette journée très agréable.

Att fotografera är för det mesta en ensam syssla, men ställer man ut sina bilder kan detta vara en möjlighet att träffa folk. Särskilt grupputställningar och festivaler är bra av den anledningen. Igår var jag tillbaka i Le Havre i norra Frankrike för att, inom ramen för festivalen Are you experiencing?, hänga min del av utställningen på ateliers ICI.

Jag mötte flera fantastiska människor: Héléna, konstnär, och Dorian, arkitekt, som jobbar på galleriet, och hjälpte oss att hänga utställningen. Alexis, film- och fotostudent, som visar sin fotonovellserie hos ICI. Laurent, proffsfotograf, som fortsätter att ta bilder för sitt eget höga nöjes skull, med ett grafiskt, nästan abstrakt sätt att fånga industribyggnaderna i Le Havres hamnområde. 

Alla dessa människor, samt en underbar sol, som i en handvändning förvandlade vår till högsommar, gjorde detta till en mycket behaglig dag.
