My home is a… photo studio/Chez moi c'est un… studio photo/Mitt hem en… fotostudio

At the moment, I'm trying to turn my apartment into a photo studio. I would like to master flash photography, but it is not an easy task. I'm still having a lot of technical problems, and would eventually need some better equipment to advance. I was really happy, though, about my new reflector screen, that simply does miracles when you shoot in the light coming in from a window. (A good photo store in Paris, where they take the time to help you out, is Prophot.)

To test this new stuff, I made a call to Isabel. I've known her for a couple of years, she's part Swedish, part Argentinian — a ravishing blend of Liv Ullman and Brigitte Bardot. The timing was right, because Isabel has started taking acting lessons, so she needed some new photos for her set cards.

After  a home-cooked meal, we started to work, and in spite of some problems with the flash, that in my opinion wasn't recharging fast enough, the result came out pretty good in the end. She's so pretty, Isabel !

En ce moment, je suis en train de transformer mon appartement en studio photo. Je voudrais bien maîtriser la photographie au flash, mais ce n'est pas une tâche facile. J'ai encore beaucoup de problèmes techniques, et j’aurais éventuellement besoin d'être mieux équipée. J'étais quand même vraiment contente avec mon nouveau réflecteur, qui fait des miracles quand on fait des photos en lumière naturelle, provenant d'une fenêtre. (Une bonne adresse à Paris, où ils prennent le temps de t’aider, c’est Prophot.) Pour tester mon nouvel équipement, j'ai fait appel à Isabel Je la connais depuis quelques années, elle est moitié suédoise, moitié argentine - en tout, un ravissant mélange de Liv Ullman et Brigitte Bardot. En plus, le moment était bien choisi, parce qu’Isabel prend des cours de théâtre depuis quelques temps, alors elle avait besoin des nouvelles photos pour ses composites.
Après un repas fait maison, nous avons commencé à travailler, et en dépit de quelques problèmes avec le flash, qui à mon goût n'a pas rechargé assez vite, le résultat final n’était pas mal. Toujours si belle, Isabel !

För tillfället håller jag på och försöker omvandla min lägenhet till en fotostudio. Detta för att lära mig att ta bilder med blixt, vilket inte är det lättaste. Jag har en hel del tekniska bekymmer, och frågar mig om jag i vissa avseenden inte behöver lite bättre utrustning för att kunna komma vidare. Jag var dock väldigt nöjd med min nya reflex-skärm, som gör underverk då man till exempel fotograferar i naturligt ljus som kommer in genom ett fönster. (En bra adress i Paris, där de tar sig tid att hjälpa en, är Prophot.)

För att pröva lite nyinköpta grejer, ringde jag Isabel. Vi känner varandra sedan ett par år tillbaka, hon är svenskargentiska — en fantastisk mix av Liv Ullman och Brigitte Bardot. Tillfället var rätt valt, för att sedan en tid tillbaka, tar Isabel teaterlektioner, och hon behövde lite nya bilder till sin portfolio.

Efter hemlagad lunch, satte vi igång, och trots en del problem med blixten, som enligt min mening inte laddade upp tillräckligt snabbt, blev resultatet faktiskt riktigt bra. Men så är Isabel en riktig snygging också!
