Workshop in Morocco/Stage au Maroc/Workshop i Marocko

Je suis trop contente. Dans une concurrence rude, j'ai été acceptée pour faire une stage avec le célèbre Antoine d'Agata de l'agence Magnum au Maroc en octobre, organisée par le magazine photographique en ligne 1000 words. Maintenant il y a un tas de trucs pratiques à régler : voyage, hôtel, cartes de mémoires… Histoire à suivre.

I'm more than happy. In hard competition, I've been accepted to participate in a workshop held by famous Magnum photographer Antoine d'Agata in Morocco in october, organized by the online photo  magazine 1000 words. Now I have a lot of practical stuff to resolve: trip, hotel, memory cards… To follow.

Jag är mer än glad. I stenhård konkurrens har jag knipit en plats på Magnum-fotografen Antoine d'Agatas workshop i Marocko i oktober, organiserad av webfotomagasinet 1000 words. Nu har jag en massa praktiska saker att ta tag i : resa, hotell, minneskort… Info följer.

On a fini tout en beauté. Notre exposition dans la Drôme avait 45 visiteurs le dernier jour, environ 350 visiteurs en totale. Avec mes amies Nathalie et Anne-Frédérique on a décroché l'expo dimanche dernier.

Lundi on était invité à déjeuner avec le maire du village Chateauneuf de Galaure, Monsieur Alain Mabilon. C'était vraiment sympathique et je retournerai bien dans la Drôme un jour, avec un tel accueil !

We had a great end to our exhibition. 45 visitors the last day, about 350 totally. With friends Nathalie and Anne-Frédérique we took down the show last sunday. 

Monday we had lunch with the mayor of the village Chateauneuf de Galaure, Mr. Alain Mabilon. It was really nice and I would love to return to la Drôme one day, with this welcoming treatment.

Vår utställning fick ett bra slut. 45 besökare den sista dagen, runt 350 totalt. Tillsammans med mina vänner Nathalie och Anne-Frédérique plockade vi ner fotona i söndags.

Måndag åt vi lunch med borgmästaren i byn Chateauneuf de Galaure, herr Alain Mabilon. Det var mycket trevligt och jag skulle gärna återvända till la Drôme framöver, med ett sån't fantastiskt mottagande.

ps. Non, on n'a rien vendu, mais ce n'est pas très grave. / No, no one sold anything, but it's not very important after all. / Nej, ingen sålde något, men det är inte så viktigt när allt kommer omkring.

I just got back from Switzerland, where I went this weekend to assist my photographer friend Valérie Baeriswyl at a wedding.
Valérie, better known as Krakote, is well known for her excellent portraits shown on Flickr. In the summer she has a busy time with sometimes up to four weddings in a week to cover. Krakote also does travel photography, portrait work and pregnancy photos. Her clients are mostly Swiss, but she would love to expand her business and do weddings in France, too.
I learn a lot from working with her, certainly that on a wedding day you can never relax. There's always an important moment to capture. Whether rain or shine — and we had both on Saturday.

Je viens de rentrer de la Suisse, où je suis allée ce week-end pour faire l'assistante à ma copine la photographe Valérie Baeriswyl à un mariage.
Valérie, plus connue comme Krakote, est celèbre pour ses excellentes portraits qu'elle publie sur Flickr. L'été, très occupée, elle fait jusqu'à quatre mariages dans une semaine. Krakote fait aussi de la photographie de voyage, des portraits et des photos de grossesse. Ses clients sont pour la plupart des Suisses, mais elle serait ravie de couvrir des mariages en France aussi. 
J'apprends beaucoup en travaillant avec elle, surtout que dans une journée de mariage on ne peut jamais se détendre. Il y a toujours un moment important à capturer. S'il pleut ou s'il fait beau — ce samedi-là on a eu le droit aux deux.

Jag är just hemkommen från Schweiz, dit jag begav mig förra helgen för att jobba som assistent åt min goda väninna, fotografen Valérie Baeriswyl, på ett bröllop.
Valérie, mer känd som Krakote, är berömd för sina fantastiska porträtt som hon lägger ut på Flickr. Sommartid är hon extra upptagen, då hon fotograferar upp till fyra bröllop i veckan. Krakote tar också resebilder, porträtt och graviditetsfoton. Hennes kunder är mestadels schweizare, men hon skulle gärna utvidga verksamheten och ta bröllopsbilder även i Frankrike.

Jag lär mig mycket när vi jobbar tillsammans, speciellt att man aldrig kan slappna av på en bröllopsdag. Det finns alltid ett viktigt ögonblick att avbilda. Såväl i regn som i sol — och i lördags hade vi både och.

Parfois la vie vous offre des jolies surprises. Hier soir j'avais rendez-vous avec un ami, Olivier Martinez, pour faire des portraits de lui au Palais Royal. Devant une vitrine on s'arrête pour admirer des jolis oiseaux fabriqué en plume. Une femme à côte de nous commence à parler. En fait, c'est son œuvre. Elle est la plumassière qui a fabriqué ces oiseaux. 

On continue vers une grande foule. Il y a des visages très connus de la télévision. Sur un coup de tête, Olivier part demander à un homme de poser avec lui en photo. Celui-ci est fort occupé mais promets de revenir vers nous plus tard. Il tient sa promesse. C'est Frédéric Mitterand. En fait on est dans l'ouverture très selecte de Couleurs d'atéliers, une exposition organisée par le ministère de la Culture, qu'il inaugure ce soir. Vous voyez ma photo ci-dessus. Malgré ma nervosité, elle est nette.

Sometimes life offers funny surprises. Yesterday night, I went to the gardens of Palais Royal to take photos of a friend, Olivier Martinez. At a storefront, we stop to admire some beautiful birds made of feathers. A woman next to us starts talking. In fact, it's her work. She's a plumassière and the one who created those birds.

We continue on to a crowd of people. There are some well known faces from the television. Suddenly, Olivier runs after a man, asking to pose with him for a photo. The man is quite occupied, but accepts to take the photo later on. He keeps his promise. The man is no less than Frédéric Mitterand. The event that we are attending is the special opening of Couleurs d'atéliers, an exhibition organized by the ministry of culture and inaugurated by monsieur Mitterand. You see my pic' above. Even if I was a little nervous, I got it sharp.

Ibland bjuder livet på roliga överraskningar. Igår kväll befann jag mig i Palais Royal-trädgården för att ta porträttbilder av en vän, Olivier Martinez. Vi stannade till framför ett skyltfönster för att beundra några mycket vackra fåglar, tillverkade av fjädrar. En kvinna börjar prata med oss. Det visar sig vara konstnären själv. Det är hon som har skapat de här fåglarna. 

Vi fortsätter mot en folksamling. Jag ser en del kända ansikten från televisionens värld. Plötsligt får Olivier ett infall och rusar efter en herre, för att be honom vara med på ett foto. Mannen är mycket upptagen, men går med på att ta en bild senare under kvällen. Han håller sitt löfte. Det är ingen mindre än Frédéric Mitterand. Evenemanget som vi bevittnar är det högtidliga öppnandet av utställningen Couleurs d'atéliers, som organiseras av det franska kulturministeriet och invigs den här kvällen av monsieur Mitterand. Min bild syns här ovan. Trots nervositet lyckades jag få den skarp.
