Thanks to a dear Paris friend who just moved to Sweden, I can tell you about a photo exhibition that apparently is well worth seeing at Arbetets museum (The Museum of Work) in Norrköping.
The show is called Bureaucratics and the photographer is a Dutch of indonesian descent, Jan Banning. His work has been published in The New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Guardian and Le Monde and in 2004 he won first prize — for one of the photos in this series of bureaucratics around the world — in the portrait category of the prestigious World Press Photo Awards. Grâce à une adorable amie parisienne qui vient de s'installer en Suède, je peux vous parler d'une exposition à Arbetets museum (Le musée du travail) qui vaut la peine d'être vu si vous passez à Norrköping.
L'expo, intitulée Bureaucrates, contient des images d'un photographe néerlandais, né de parents indonésiens, Jan Banning. Son travail a été publié dans The New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Guardian et Le Monde et en 2004 il a été récompensé par le premier prix dans la catégorie Portrait — pour une photo de cette série des bureaucrates autour du monde — dans les prestigieux World Press Photo Awards. Tack vare en kär Paris-vän som nyligen bosatt sig i Sverige, kan jag här berätta om en utställning på Arbetets museum i Norrköping som är väl värd ett besök.
Utställningen heter Byråkrater och innehåller bilder tagna av en holländsk fotograf, född av indonesiska föräldrar, Jan Banning. Hans foton har publicerats av The New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Guardian och Le Monde och 2004 vann han första pris i porträttklassen i den prestigefyllda tävlingen World Press Photo Awards för en bild ur just den här serien med byråkrater från världens alla hörn.
