Alain Delorme at/au/på Bon Marché

Aujourd'hui j'avais un peu la migraine, j'ai du trop regarder l'écran de mon ordi ce dernier temps. Pour y remédier, je suis allée faire un tour à St Germain pour m'airer la tête. Déjà on pouvait repérer les premiers signes du printemps, c'est-à-dire que les femmes ont commencé à changer pour une garde-robe plus légère. J'ai même vu quelques pieds nus dans des ballerines !
Bref, au Bon Marché, je suis quand même tombé sur une expo photo très sympa — comme quoi on ne peut pas échapper à son sort — donc il fallait bien que j'écris quelques mots  pour vous en parler.
Le jeune photographe s'appelle Alain Delorme, il a fait l'école des Gobelins, a été récompensé par le prix Arcimboldo en 2007 et sa série exposée dans la passerelle qui lie les deux magasins au Bon Marché s'appelle Totems. Les photos ont été prises en Chine, au moment de la grande exposition universelle à Shanghai. C'est une drôle d'image de la production et la consommation de masse qui en sorte. Pour citer le texte de sa galerie :
"Ces colonnes précaires faites de cartons, de chaises, de bouteilles ou de pneus apparaissent comme les nouveaux totems d’une société en pleine transformation, à la fois usine du monde et nouvel eldorado de l’économie de marché."

J'ai passé le reste de l'après-midi au Louvre, pour Les visages et les corps, une exposition que j'avais envie de voir depuis longtemps. C'est le cinéaste et metteur en scène Patrice Chéreau qui a sélectionné des œuvres d'art qui lui ont particulièrement touché et qu'il juxtapose ici avec des photos de Nan Goldin. La rencontre est extraordinaire et donne un côté intemporel à l'ensemble. La sensualité, la fragilité et la vulnérabilité du chair humain s'y exposent en toute force.
Après il ne faut pas louper le diaporama de Nan Goldin lié à l'exposition, Scopophilia, q'on trouve dans le hall en bas. Il y passes pleine d'images inédites par la grande photographe, mélangées avec des photos prises au Louvre, le tout tremblant de l'émotion. Jusqu'au 31 janvier

Les visages et les corps at the/au/på Louvre

I had a little headache today, probably because I’ve been staring too much at my computer screen lately. To cure myself and get some fresh air, I took the métro to Saint Germain. The first signs of spring was already apparent, since women are now changing to a lighter wardrobe. I even spotted some naked feet tucked into ballerina shoes!
At the department store Bon Marché, I came across a very nice photo exhibition — and since it is foolish to try to escape one’s fate, I’ll write you a few words about it.
The young photographer, Alain Delorme, is a former student of the école des Gobelins, and was awarded the Arcimboldo price in 2007. The series shown in the tunnel between the two buildings of Bon Marché is called Totems. The photographs has been taken in China, at the time of the World Expo in Shanghai. They give an eerily humouristic image of a society of huge production and mass consumption. To quote his gallery :
"These precarious columns made of cardboard, chairs, bottles or tires, seem to be the new totem of a changing society, both the world's factory and the new Eldorado of the market economy."

I then spent the afternoon at the Louvre, to see Les visages et les corps, (Faces and bodies) a show that I’ve been wanting to see for a long time. The french filmmaker and stage director Patrice Chéreau has selected works of art, which has particularly affected him, and juxtaposes them with photographs by Nan Goldin. The meeting is extraordinary and gives a timelessness to it all. Sensuality, fragility and the vulnerability of human flesh is here exposed in it’s full strength.
Pay attention not to miss the slideshow by Nan Goldin related to the Chéreau exhibition, Scopophilia, that is located downstairs, close to the main hall. Previously unpublished images by the great photographer are mixed with pictures taken at the Louvre — it all trembling with emotion. Until January 31 

Jag hade en lättare migrän idag, förmodligen på grund av att jag stirrat för mycket på min dataskärm på sista tiden. För att råda bot på huvudvärken och få lite frisk luft, begav jag mig sålunda till Saint Germain. Redan kunde man se de första vårtecknen, då ett flertal kvinnor bytt till lättare ytterkläder. Jag såg till och med några som gick barfota i ballerinaskor!På varuhuset Bon Marché sprang jag på en trevlig liten fotouställning — och eftersom det verkar som att man inte kan undkomma sitt öde, tänkte jag skriva några ord om denna.
Bilderna är tagna av en ung fotograf som heter Alain Delorme. Han har gått på den kända fotoskolan  Gobelins, och belönades med Arcimboldo-priset 2007. Den serie han nu ställer ut i gången mellan de två byggnaderna på Bon Marché har han kallat Totems. Bilderna är tagna i Kina i samband med världsutställningen i Shanghai. Det är en på en och samma gång en lustig och lite kuslig bild av produktion och masskonsumtion som strålar ut. För att citera hans galleri:
"Dessa ömtåliga pelare av kartonger, stolar, flaskor och däck tycks vara de nya totempålarna i ett samhälle i total förändring, på en och samma gång en världsindustri och det nya eldoradot för marknadsekonomin."

Jag tillbringade sedan eftermiddagen på Louvren, med utställningen Les visages et les corps (Ansikten och kroppar), som jag sedan länge velat se. Det är filmskaparen och regissören Patrice Chéreau som valt ut en samling konstverk som berört honom speciellt mycket och sedan ställt dessa mot Nan Goldins fotografier. Mötet är extraordinärt och ger en märkligt tidlöshet åt det hela. Sensualiteten, bräckligheten och sårbarheten hos den mänskliga kroppen kommer här fram i sin fulla kraft.
Efteråt får man inte missa bildspelet av Nan Goldin, Scopophilia, som hör ihop med utställningen och som man hittar intill den stora hallen på bottenplanet. Här finns ett stort antal tidigare ej visade bilder av den stora fotografen, blandat med bilder tagna på Louvren, allt vibrerande med samma känsla. T.o.m. 31 januari
