…to see the new photos of Christophe Lepecq at restaurant le Faitout. This time there is a series of nearly abstract shots of a merry-go-round in motion, as well as the architecture shots he recently showed at la camera. Until 31 mars 2010.

…pour aller voir les nouvelles photos de Christophe Lepecq au restaurant le Faitout. Cette fois-ci il y a une série d'images presque abstraits d'un carrousel qui tourne, ainsi que les photos d'archi qu'il montrait récemment à la camera. Jusqu'au 31 mars 2010.

Malheureusement quand vous lisez cela, cette expo est déjà terminé. Les dissonances de l'adolescence s'est passé à l'Espace Jemmapes, centre culturel municipal dans le 10e arr. à Paris, où je me suis trouvé vendredi soir pour écouter chanter Sarah Olivier. Comme il me restait du temps avant le concert, je suis allée faire un tour dans l'expo, dont j'avais déjà entendu parler par Marc Pussemier de La Librairie Photographique. 

J'ai pu découvrir quatre photographes talentueux (Cécile Chaput, Sandrine Derym, Eric Facon (Bar Floréal) et Lynn S.K.) qui traitent l'adolescence en image avec autant de délicatesse que de tendresse. J'ai particulièrement apprécié les scènes de vie capturés en noir et blanc par Eric Facon et les portraits pleine de sensibilité de Sandrine Derym. La dernière a réuni ses photos de l'expo dans un livre autoédité intitulé "17 ans", en vente pour 15 euros à sandr@netcourrier.com.

Unfortunately when you read this, the show will already be over. Les dissonances de l'adolescence took place at the Espace Jemmapes, a cultural center in the 10th arrondissement, where I was friday night to listen to the singer Sarah Olivier. Since there was some time left before the concert, I had a look at this photo exhibition, recommended to me by Marc Pussemier at La Librairie Photographique. 

I discovered four talented photographers (Cécile Chaput, Sandrine Derym, Eric Facon (Bar Floréal) et Lynn S.K.) who carefully and tenderly pictures adolescence. I especially appreciated the everyday life scenes captured in black and white by Eric Facon and the portraits full of sensibility by Sandrine Derym. The later has put together her photos from the exhibition in an auto-edited book called "17 ans", available for 15 euros at sandr@netcourrier.com.  

När du läser det här, är utställningen tyvärr redan över. Les dissonances de l'adolescence hängde på Espace Jemmapes, ett kulturellt center i Paris tionde arrondissemang, där jag befann mig i fredags för att lyssna till sångerskan Sarah Olivier. Då jag hade lite tid över innan konserten, tog jag en titt på utställningen, som jag hört talas om genom Marc Pussemier på La Librairie Photographique. 

Jag hade nöjet att upptäcka fyra talangfulla fotografer (Cécile Chaput, Sandrine Derym, Eric Facon (Bar Floréal) et Lynn S.K.) som behandlar tonårstiden med lika delar ömhet och respektfullhet. Jag uppskattade särskilt de typiska vardagssituationerna fångade i svartvitt av Eric Facon och de känsliga porträtten tagna av Sandrine Derym. Den senare har samlat sina foton från utställningen i en egenutgiven bok kallad "17 ans", som hon säljer till priset av 15 euros via adressen sandr@netcourrier.com.

 

SFR Jeunes Talents/Young talents/Unga talanger

Je participe dans un concours photo organisé par le site SFR Jeunes Talents. Vous pouvez y aller pour voir les photos ainsi que voter pour vos favoris. Ci-dessus, la première photo dans une série intitulée La ligne bleue, que j'ai réalisé la nuit, avec Isabel comme model.

Jag deltar i en fototävling som ordnas av sajten SFR Jeunes Talents (unga talanger). Klicka på länken för att se mina foton och rösta på era favoriter. Här ovan första bilden i en serie kallad Den blå linjen, som jag fotograferade nattetid med Isabel som modell.

Apéro photo n°7

Une fois par mois,  il y a une apéro photo organisé par Jonathan Smadja en parténariat avec Darqroom et le magazine Compétence Photo. Ce soir, j'y suis allée pour la première fois.
Au programme il y avait l'exposition "Femmes", que j'avais déjà le plaisir de voir au Salon de la Photo en 2009. (Parmi les participants, un de mes contacts sur Flickr, l'excellent Stéphane Giner. )
On trouvait aussi un atelier studio où, pour cinq euros, on pouvait faire des photos coaché par un pro et avec la participation d'un modèle.
Finalement, j'ai fait la connaissance d'Alexandre, photographe amateur passioné par les lumières, avec qui j'ai discuté sur l'expo en particulier et la photo en générale.
Bref, une soirée plutôt réussi.

Once every month, there is a apéro photo organised by Jonathan Smadja in cooperation with Darqroom and the magazine Compétence Photo. Tonight, it was my first time there.
On the menu was the exhibition "Femmes"(=women), that I had already had the pleasure of seeing at the 2009 edition of the Salon de la Photo. (And among the participants, one of my Flickr pals, the excellent Stéphane Giner.)
There was also a studio class where, for five euros, you could take photos of a model coached by a professional photographer.
Finally, I made a new aquantaince, Alexandre, amateur photographer in love with light, with whom I discussed photo in general and the exhibition in particular.
All in all, a very nice evening.

En gång i månaden är det apéro photo, organiserat av Jonathan Smadja i samarbete med Darqroom och tidningen Compétence Photo. Ikväll var jag där för första gången.
På programmet fanns utställningen "Femmes"(=kvinnor), som jag redan hade haft nöjet att se på 2009 års upplaga av Salon de la Photo. (Bland utställarna fanns en av mina Flickr-kontakter, den utmärkte Stéphane Giner.)
För fem euros kunde man också pröva på hur det är att fota i studiobelysning, med en riktig modell och coachad av en professionnell fotograf. 
Slutligen gjorde jag en ny bekantskap med Alexandre, amatörfotograf och besatt av ljus, med vilken jag diskuterade foto i allmänhet och utställningen i synnerhet.
Helt enkelt en mycket trevlig kväll.

G comme "garage"/G as in "garage"/G som i "garage"

Une fois par mois, Jean Alain organise un pot quelque part dans le 19e arrondissement, dans le but de réunir des passionnés de la photo autour d'un verre dans un endroit sympa. Cette fois-ci on a été dans deux lieux différents, dans le joli quartier de la Mouzaïa.
D'abord rendez-vous au Galerie G — ancien garage de 340m², 32m de long — et l'exposition collective "Sensations photographiques". On y trouvait des artistes de la photo plasticienne très intéressants, et concocté spécialement pour cette soirée nocturne, il y avait un buffet végétarien délicieux.
On a continué aux Mères Veilleuses, restô de quartier sympa, où ARTALB a pris l'occasion de nous montrer un diaporama des photos qu'il avait fait lors d'un spectacle magique. J'ai aussi eu le plaisir de discuter avec une compatriote, Hanna. Contente et fatiguée, je suis rentrée chez moi dans la nuit de printemps.

Once a month, Jean Alain organizes a meeting in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, so that people that are passionate about photography can meet for a drink or two in a nice place. This time, he made us discover no less than two different places in a cute neighbourhood called Mouzaïa.
First rendez-vous at Galerie G — a former garage that is 340m² and 32m long — and the group exhibition "Sensations photographiques". A show with really cool art photography and, since it was a late night special, a delicious vegetarian buffé.
We went on to Les Mères Veilleuses, a nice little restaurant, where ARTALB took the occasion to show us a computer slideshow of photos he had taken during a magician's show. I also had the pleasure of chatting with a fellow Swede, Hanna. Happy and tired, I then went home in one of the first warm nights of spring.

En gång i månaden arrangerar Jean Alain en träff i Paris 19e arrondissemang, så att fotoentusiaster kan mötas över ett glas eller två på någon mysig bar. Den här gången var vi på två olika ställen i ett väldigt gulligt litet kvarter som heter Mouzaïa.
Först så sågs vi på Galerie G — ett före detta garage som är 340m² och 32m långt — för grupputställningen "Sensations photographiques". Ett flertal intressanta konstfotografer deltog med sina verk och kvällen till ära fanns också en underbar vegetarisk buffé.
Vi fortsatte sedan till Les Mères Veilleuses, en mysig kvarterskrog, där ARTALB tog tillfälligt i akt och visade oss ett bildspel med foton han tagit på en magi-show. Jag hade också nöje att stifta bekantskap med en annan svenska, Hanna. Trött men nöjd begav jag mig till slut hemåt i den varma vårnatten.

Galérie Vendôme

Mardi soir a eu lieu une exposition éphémère à la Galerie Vendôme. C'était un ami, Olivier Tops, photographe humaniste originaire de Megève, qui pour une seule et unique soirée nous a montré des photos panoramiques de Paris et New York.
Non seulement ce jeune homme parcours le monde avec une énergie incroyable à la recherche des clichés forts — il sait aussi dénicher des lieux prestigieux pour les montrer ! Avec son talent,  il revient sans doute dans un rien de temps pour exposer à Paris.

Tuesday night, there was a short-time exhibition at the Galerie Vendôme. During one single evening, a friend of mine, Olivier Tops, a Megève-based photographer in the humaniste vein, showed us his panoramic shots from Paris and New York.
Not only is this young man travelling around the globe with an incredible energy in search of strong subjects — he also knows how to find out prestigious places to exhibit his work. With all this talent, I'm sure he will be back with a new show in Paris in no time at all !

I tisdags kväll, kunde man se en tillfällig utställning på Galerie Vendôme. Under ett fåtal timmar, ställde min bekant Olivier Tops, Megève-baserad fotograf som jobbar i den franska humaniste-traditionen, ut panoramabilder från Paris och New York.
Förutom att den här unge mannen med en väldig energi reser jorden runt i jakt på starka bilder, har Olivier också en osviklig förmåga att hitta prestigefyllda adresser för att visa upp sina verk. Med den kombinationen av talanger, lär det inte dröja länge innan vi ser honom på nytt i Paris.
